Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya Muslims have been forced to flee from their homes in Myanmar and are currently living in deplorable conditions.
What are RCF doing?
RCF has set up a learning center with the help of OBAT to educate Rohingya children in the Kutupalong camp in Bangladesh. A monthly donation of £20 will provide an education for a child between the age of four and fourteen. The learning centre will act as a safe space where children will be taught a variety of subjects with a focus on English, Burmese, and Mathematics. One of the main goals of educating the children is to work towards the Education for All (EFA) standard in Bangladesh.
Our Vision for the Learning Centres
Our donors will receive Progress reports bi-annually so that you can see how the child you sponsor is progressing in the learning centre.
These LC’s not only provide the children with a well needed education, but also it allows them to detach from the harsh realities of poverty and living in an over populated refugee camp. We hope to enroll 90 children in our learning centre and we are planning to fund further learning centres in the future to meet the needs of the Rohingya community.
What will your donation do?
Your £20 monthly donation will not only help provide a child with an (1) education, but the children will also receive a daily nutritious snack, dental and medical checkups twice a year, uniform, bags and school stationery. Your donation will allow us to gift the childrens’ families with Eid parcels which include food and clothing on Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.
A direct debit allows you to donate a small amount every month and helps us provide stability to some of these vulnerable people.
